Developed by refining the popular original PlayStation controller, the de facto standard in gaming with several hundred millions units sold worldwide, the SIXAXIS controller features motion-sensing technology to detect natural and intuitive movements for real-time and high precision interactive play, acting as a natural extension of the user\'s body. The SIXAXIS controller utilizes Bluetooth technology for wireless gameplay and the controller\'s USB cable to seamlessly and automatically charge the controller through the hardware at anytime. Furthermore, unlike other interactive controllers, the SIXAXIS controller is easy to set-up and is compatible with today\'s monitors and televisions. By integrating all these features into the original PlayStation controller design, Sony Computer Entertainment, together with content developers, plans to further enhance the gameplay experience of next generation computer entertainment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Customer Reviews The Good The Bad and The Lies when the ps3 was first released i thought id get 1... i did then found that the controller died far to quickly due to a short life span... although every one is posting the motion sensor was stolen from the wii in actuality sony had developed motion sensitivity before nintendo... does anyone know of the resident evil 4 chainsaw controller... if not you should check it out it had motion sensitivity... the sixaxis controller in my eyes is a piece of c*@% after a long period of usage swapping between two sixaxis controllers BOTH the right analogue sticks became stiff and harder to use... i think this is because of poor assembly and cheep parts... the ps3 is an awesome machine far better than the 360 but i just wish that the controllers were more stable and didn\'t feel like you could crush them with one hand... id recommend buying a ps3 to anyone but if i wer you id wait till the dualshock 3 comes out. Brilliant! I am so happy that Sony didn\'t change the controller for the ps3. I got really worried when the concepts for the ps3 were coming out as the controllers were re-designed. When they finally released the console the controllers were the same we know and love! They obviously have the added feature of wireless which means my dog will no longer interrupt my game by pulling out the lead! Fantastic! Also looking forward to the return of rumble but the non-rumble are fine for now. Overall: I always love change and innovation, but this time I\'m so glad Sony went for the if it ain\'t broke don\'t try and fix it adage! No problems with it I do not understand why people complain about this control. It isn\'t that bad. It\'s just a control and you play games with it. OK it doesn\'t have rumble but it isn\'t something t be missed that much, motion sense is better for me. It is a good control that allows to play my games.
