Digital Camera Suite is a collection of programs comprising MediaPlus (a cataloguing and viewing utility), PhotoPlus 6 (an image editing tool) and MontagePlus (a nifty tool for creating photo montages made up of thousands of tiny thumbnail style images). This box has something for everyone, no matter what their skill level.
MediaPlus and PhotoPlus 6 work well together, offering much in the way of functionality. For the beginner there’s no need to spend hundreds of pounds on Photoshop or its rivals when this package does most of what’s required for retouching digital images. Image resizing, red-eye removal and even the creation of “web friendly” graphics all come as part of the deal. Capture from digital cameras and scanners is fully supported, as is the ability to access and utilise Photoshop plug-ins.
For a package of such complexity the Digital Camera Suite is remarkably easy to use. Image storage through MediaPlus can almost be carried out with your eyes shut and PhotoPlus is very powerful when you consider its relatively low price. The introduction of the PhotoMontage program provides a little light relief but it gets dull quickly and isn’t that much use. The Meaco Tao keychain allows you to store and display on a slideshow 56 digital photos. It has a clear 1.4″ screen that is large enough forviewing but small enough to carry around with your keys. Customer Review: It is cute but not worth the price
The display clarity is not that impressive. The number of pixels is less, that if a normal 6×4 photo is uploaded without alterations, you hardly see the face or picture clearly. Nice gift but definetely not worth the price as latest gadgets are fancier and are really of better quality. Also, it is bit bulkier and prone to scratches if it is kept with keys. Not sure if everyone will carry it.
Customer Review: Great for a Proud Daddy to Be
I bought this for my husband’s Christmas and it’s great. He found it easy to use and I was quite impressed with the fact that you can crop the photos in order to make them look better when you upload them onto your key ring. It looks quite snazzy - not cheap at all, and is not too big to go on your keys. I bought it for him as we are expecting a baby and I thought that this would be perfect for the proud daddy to show off photos to work mates and friends. He has put lots of photos of friends and family on it at the moment and it really does hold a lot of images.
