Customer Review: Excellent, pretty, easy to use, plug in and go…
I’m not an expert PC user, having come off a Pentium 2 running Win 98 at home, I found the interface a bit over user friendly - by hiding (advanced) settings that were once easy to find. At first I was a bit disillusioned and overwhelmed by the change from ‘98 to vista, but I have to say I got up to speed quite quickly. I don’t like applications that run off and do things on the internet, I feel a bit out of control, but I quickly got to grips with the settings and turned a lot of the features off. The one thing about this PC and SW is that, due to unnecessary additional software installations, it’s hard - at first - to work out what belongs to the initial operating system and what doesn’t, I found this very frustrating. The screen is lovely, and you can really plug in and play straight away, I have never had this experience before; mobile phone, pen drive, network, ext keyboard, mouse, even my external monitor plugged straight in and the graphics card can handle it very well - a little bit of a refresh rate issue which needs sorting through one of those “hidden” settings I have yet to find. I really liked the look and it was well packaged and arrived quickly. Norton doesn’t have a great rep and many have told me to remove it from the machine straight away because it gobbles up the resources, I am not sure what to do just yet as I am still trying to work out what Norton is doing and why I need it; since Vista has its own firewall, and security features. Having said this I have had no bad experiences with it so far. I will still give this PC 5 stars because it’s a really great PC for the price, and although I have not come to use all the features yet, I have started to “Trust” it, and that’s the most important feature of all.
Customer Review: Acer 5920 laptop
Bought one of these two weeks ago. Everything works great. Im not a laptop expert by any means but I have certainly used them plenty. I find this acer excellent. For ?440 pounds it was a great spec and the quality is absolutely fine. My friends around me have VAIOs and I dont really see what the difference is for such a huge price increase. Battery life is good. Screen is good. keyboard mouse - yes they all work fine. I oddly even think VISTA on this machine works really well. I have never taken a computer out the box and had such a simple time of switching it on and just using it. Brilliant. So at least one happy customer.

Customer Review: Rubbish!
Got this as i didnt want to pay large amounts for an MP3 player, and i always have my DS with me so it seemed to make sense. When it arrived, i took the ugly thing out of the box, put my sd card in which had music already on. When i turned it on it says sd error. When it finally came round to accepting it (so no problems with my sd card then!) The track was very low, very jumpy and of very poor quality. When i read the instruction manual, it gives a short list of what bit rates of mp3’s it can accept. (Higher bit rate usually =better quality sound. Most of my MP3’s that i have downloaded are at 320kbps, this can support up to only 256kbps) I dont know about everyone else but i prefer my music in high quality, but the book says it cant support any mp3’s with a decent quality. Do not buy this product, you will be better of buying a cheap mp3 player.

I am the dad of two young ardent DS fans, who also use mp3 players. So the prospect of holiday trips and long car journeys with a combined game and music device seemed very attractive. But alas! - sound quality is awful and the controls are deadful. A waste of money.

The picture for this item just doesnt do this backpack justice, it has so many pockets for your various items and a well padded compartment for your notebook. Best backpack I have seen, and the price is good too.

This is an excellent quality item, I looked high and low for one, and struggled to find one with adequate padded protection, and a generous size laptop sleeve… This one was excellent in both areas… With the added advantage of the laptop sleeve being removeable… If you’re looking for one of these you be hard pressed to find a better one for the price, definately recommended…

Customer Review: Can’t record chapters on DVD-R discs…
I bought this machine to transfer my VHS tape collection onto DVD discs, via the HDD. I have tried everything, but I’ve been unable to make DVDs with chapter markings - they are easy to place on the HDD, but when the DVD is recorded, there is only one title & no chapters. I called the help line & was told I’d have to record onto the HDD at the same settings as the recording to DVD. I tried, but it still didn’t work. The help line then said I would have to do high speed dubbing to keep the chapter markers (which makes no sense); however High Speed dubbing is not an option unless you’re using DVD-RW discs & recording as DVD-VR, not DVD-Video. I think the machine is faulty, but the help line claim you can’t make DVD’s with chapters (so why have the option on the HDD?). Not recommended for VHS to DVD use!
Customer Review: Fantastic Product!!
I bought this item on ebay for a fraction of the price and after a 15minutes installation everything came into place. It does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak. It has the best picture quality I’ve ever seen and the hard drive is so handy and simple to record and use. Loads of people who have seen it in action over the weekend have fallen in love with it and now want to buy one. Toshiba is a reputated make and I’ve always trusted it. I’ve already got a Toshiba television and a Toshiba hi-fi and have never had any problems with either of them. I recommend this product over Sony or Panasonic for that matter however I did have a look at the Toshiba DVR16 but was reluctant to buy it as reviews were not good so beware!! 5 star product extremely recommended.

Customer Review: Could not read bundled software dvd
There seemed to be a problem with the bundled software dvd , I was unable to install the software , and the freecom crive could not read the dvd either.It jusk kept locking up the machine. Luckily I have nero that works fine with it. The tray des seem a little flimsy and lose when it comes out, im not sure if this is normal. otherwise it seems to work fine if a little large and noisy,like a jet plane taking off.

My boyfriend needed a new cd drive for his MAC Laptop as his has broken. I ordered this and it was so easy to start using. Just plug in and away you go! no need to install anything, plays CD’s and CD-ROM’s, and DVDs. havent tried re writing cds/dvds yet but all is ok. The only bad point would have to be its size as it is a bit big.
