    Customer Review: Freeview recording issue
This machine is fine, but - like others it seems - I stupidly did not realise that if you are recording a freeview channel then you are locked into watching that channel. A bit of a drawback, though one that is apparently shared by all (non-Japanese???) DVD recorders. It seems there is a solution, involving using a separate freeview box and connecting it to a second scart socket on your TV. However, I only have one scart socket on my TV, which needs to be connected to the DVD recorder. Does anyone know a way where I can set up both the DVD recorder and a separate freeview box, even though I only have one scart socket on my TV? Many thanks for any assistance
    Customer Review: Beware JPEG quality
I will send mine back. One of the reasons I chose this HDD recorder was because I have a Panasonic camera, and a Panasonic HDTV. You would think that jpeg pictures coming from my camera via this unit to the Panasonic TV look great.. well, they do not. Staight lines turn into jagged lines, and colours start bleeding. It is almost as if they are trying to upsample the thumbnails. I tried from SD card, I tried different image manipulation programs, nothing worked. I wrote to Panasonic and they advised me to lower the resolution on my Panasonic camera.. joke. I took the same pictures to a Sony shop and their HXD870 unit displayed them without problem (on a CD generated with Photobase, a program supplied by Panasonic with my camera). So this is the first time I will send a Panasonic device back, it is disappointing. Other than that, it is a brilliant HDD recorder, and the 1080p picture quality from standard DVD and even from material recorded from Freeview is stunning.

Customer Review: Brilliant Buy for ?10.00!!
Bought this for my daughter for christmas. The camera lets you take photos and short videos. You can then upload them onto the computer where you can do all sorts with them. My daughter is 10 and just loves it. She has been writing stories and making cards with all her own photos (take up to 26 at a time) The camera is very light but the quality is actually excellent. Buy this. I have bought another couple as birthday presents. What do you get for ?10 these days?

Customer Review: Not a good PVR
Although this has lots of features and the picture/recording quality is good it is let down by the speed (or rather lack of speed) with which you can navigate the index of recordings made on the hard disk. It isn’t possible to view many recording titles on the same screen and the process of scrolling through the titles is painfully slow. Not competitive with Sky+ or Topfield PVRs in my opinion.
Customer Review: another excellent sony product

Customer Review: Excellent Guide, stays in my camera bag
If you want to get the best results from your D80 I strongly recommend that you buy this book, it has in-depth explanations of all the controls, settings and features available, and also clear explanations of the technical capabilities and limitations of the D80 too, with some development history to boot. There are also descriptions of add-on accessories to guide you on expanding your camera system with external flash units etc. It goes WAY beyond the Nikon manual and I keep going back to it as a reference. Included is a handy credit card sized fold out quick reference guide. NB. I can forgive the publisher for the more than a few spelling and punctuation mistooks. ;)
